November 10, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — Footballshirtculture.com reports that the English football club West Ham United is soon to announce a new football shirt sponsorship deal with the Asian online sportsbetting brand SBOBet.
Negotiations have apparently almost been concluded on the deal, and a signing ceremony is imminent as West Ham seeks a replacement sponsor following the failure of airline former partner XL.
The 18-month deal is said to be worth close to £1.9 million, considerably less than the £2.5 million-a-season deal with XL, and reflects the current depressed state of the sponsorship market.
