SEO is Dead…
You probably heard this a lot in 2014 (and 2013; and 2012; and 2011…) but SEO is not dead, nor is it going to die anytime soon.
Of course SEO is a constantly changing entity so today’s SEO best practices don’t look much like they did five years ago. But that doesn’t mean that the core elements of of good quality content and relevancy don’t matter.
Thanks to Google’s new policy of not announcing named updates and maintaining a continual state of refresh, a lot of the hysteria surrounding SEO may die down, but SEO is not dead.
