#9 – Spain (Finally) Issues Gaming License
The Spanish gaming market had so many fits and starts this year it was tough to keep up with. Regulators had long promised a liberalization of the igaming laws, but weren’t in much of a hurry to actually implement them.
Gaming companies were left out in the cold several times as deadline for issuing gaming licenses were pushed back. But with an incredibly lucrative and largely untapped poker market in the line, they waited quietly.
Spain is now open for business, but is sure took a while to get there.
