The bucolic state of Schleswig-Holstein staged a brief rebellion this year that nearly turned the German gaming industry on its ear.
Unwilling to play along with some seriously repressive new gaming laws from the central government, SH decided to do their own thing. Schleswig’s operator-friendly gambling scheme terrified the German government so much that they warned SH could become, “Las Vegas of Germany.”
Sadly, the gaming liberals lost power in a regularly scheduled election and their high flying dreams were tabled for good.
