The list of renowned poker pros competing in the inaugural Asian Poker Tour is ever-growing, with new stars setting their sights on the top prizes in the east.
David Saab, 2008 APT Philippines Champion, placed 46th in the 2008 World Series of Poker $10,000 Main Event and has told various sources that he will be present in Macau for the second leg of the tour.
Four big Asian pros have also verified that they will compete in China – JC Tran, Nam Le, Quinn Do and Steve Sung already played the Philippines event and will be looking to stop Saab making a repeat first place finish.
JC Tran is currently the top-ranked player in the Bluff Magazine power rankings with over $6.7m in tournament earnings. Nam Le has a series of high finishes in prestigious events with over $4.3m in tournament winnings under his belt. Quinn Do and Steve Sung are also successful players with around $4m in winnings between them.
APT Macau will be held at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino from August 27th to August 31st. The guaranteed prize pool is $1,500,000 with the winner taking home at least $500,000.
