Have you ever seen those videos where the marketer says that they’re going to take the video down soon because there’s such a big demand for the thing they’re promoting?
Essentially, it’s a clever application of scarcity, but the problem is that most marketers never actually take their videos down – they’re faking the whole situation.
Although this sort of fake scarcity might give you better conversion at first, it can hurt your credibility in the long run (if anyone notices this).
