TGL Pairs with FanDuel on Odds and Broadcast Deal

TGL, the new professional golf league, is naming FanDuel as its official betting partner. Under the terms of the deal, FanDuel will be providing odds and live betting options for TGL events. FanDuel will also be providing the organization with content during its televised events.

The Tomorrow’s Golf League (the TGL’s formal title that it never seems to use) is an entirely new team golf sport that is played in a customized golf simulator dome in Palm Beach State College, Florida. Teams of six golfers compete in various events on the simulator, as well as on short game events on a live golf hole. It’s a pretty out-of-the-box concept that’s backed by big name golf professionals such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

While TGL teams are duking it out on the virtual fairways, FanDuel will be integrating live betting data into the broadcast. During intermissions, FanDuel will provide recaps and analysis on the event that’s aimed at sports bettors in a segment titled, FanDuel Intermission.

Senior Vice President and General Manager of FanDuel Sportsbook Karol Corcoran touted the new sport in comments reported on by Golf Business Technology saying, “As its inaugural season gets underway, we look forward to partnering with TGL to create a robust offering of bet types for fans to wager on throughout the season. As an official Sports Betting Partner of TGL in the U.S., we’ll create an engaging experience that brings fans closer to this exciting new golf experience.”

The TGL’s inaugural match took place earlier this week with the Bay GC defeating the New York GC 9-2.
