October 5, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — Barry Shulman has won the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE), beating out Daniel Negreanu and the rest of the other 339 players to score the title. The event unfolded over the past few weeks at the Casino at the Empire in London.
"It's a lot of fun for me to be here right now," Barry Shulman said, as quoted at ESPN.com. "It's been great. When I moved to Vegas, I took up poker. I tried to prove that I could beat the best in the world. I got pretty good for a while, but then I started to focus more on my business at Card Player. Since then, I have not been playing as hard. Now, I'm back on the winning trail and feeling very good about it."
