The new look Wire Act was cool with every kind of online gambling except sports betting (because legal sports betting might cause millionaire athletes to throw games – but that’s another story). In one quick moment the Feds put the decision to legalize online gambling in the hands of the states, thus ushering in a new age of regulated online gambling in the US.
