Cyprus, 13th February 2009 — RedKings.com today announced confirmation of their new EU Poker License granted through a white label arrangement with software supplier Ongame and issued in Gibraltar.
This EU license puts RedKings in a strong position in the market as they prepare to step up their marketing efforts across Europe.
The license ensures white-listing for marketing of the brand in the U.K. and is great news for their large player base that will now enjoy tax-free poker winnings in many European countries. With Team RedKings hitting the tables at the EPT in Copenhagen next week, the new license will allow RedKings to now also focus on Denmark. The vast majority of Danish poker players insist on their poker rooms having this type of License and RedKings will be now able to confidently offer their huge Tournaments and exciting promotions to them as well.
A spokesperson from RedKings said, "In just two years, RedKings has already achieved meteoric growth and with this new Poker License we anticipate a huge surge of business especially from the Scandinavian countries and the UK. We are proud to have achieved the exacting standards that are required for a license of this kind."
To share the celebrations of this fantastic news with their players RedKings are adding $2009 to a celebratory tournament. The tournament — called 'EU License 2009' — is on Tuesday 17th February at 19:00 CET and can be found now in the RedKings tournament lobby costing just $5+$0.50 to buy-in.
End.
