A major milestone has been hit in the Internet gaming business world, as bwin announces the world’s first iPhone real money poker app.
So far, the app is available to residents of the UK and Austria, although there are plans for a wider European release.
The announcement came as a something of a surprise; real-money poker apps have been introduced to mobile devices very slowly because of legal and regulatory issues.
The app is most likely a competitive response to Full Tilt Poker’s Rush Poker mobile poker room available on the Google Android operating system; in recent months, the Android has become a higher-selling mobile operating system than Apple.
Microgaming has also recently unveiled plans for a mobile poker network via Google Android, debuting in a few days at the ICE Totally Gaming show in London.
