Qualifying events for the Bingo World Championship 2010 begin this month offering players the opportunity to take part in a one-off game where the winner will walk away with a cash prize of $5,000.
Sponsored by Bingo Entertainment NV, the final event will take place on March 28 from eight o'clock in the evening New York time and feature a total prize pool of $10,000.
There will be three qualifying rounds, one each for the months of October, November and December, to select the final 15 players while a download of the actual bingo hall will be available in February.
The first round runs until October 31 and players will automatically receive their entry into the Bingo World Championship if they place in the top five players for this month. The same rules go for November and December at participating online bingo sites including BingoBeez.com, BingoFunland.com, BingoSplash.com, MainStreetBingo.com, ImperialBingo.com, BingoEmpire.com, ParamountBingo.com, BingoPlex.com, PremierBingo.com, GlamourBingo.com, BingoMega.com and BingoGala.com.
The Bingo World Championship is now in its ninth year and a statement on BingoWorldChampionship.com revealed that players that have earned a spot in the grand final from one round could not earn another place in a subsequent round.
