In the iGaming world, the Asian-Pacific market is a vast, untapped treasure. Between rising standards of living and gambling friendly culture, affiliates should one day see big profits from this sector.
The potential profits are so huge that Bodog has pretty much eschewed the European market entirely to focus efforts on Asia. And if the revenues that land-based casinos in Macau and Singapore are any indication, this is a pretty savvy business strategy.
Unfortunately, this market isn’t easy to crack. Cultural gaps and a tight government grip on Internet access have made places like China almost completely inaccessible to the online gambling industry. Regardless, expect to hear plenty of news about the Asian market in 2013.
