One of the world's largest online poker sites, PokerStars.com, has announced the names of the 23 members of its inaugural Team PokerStars Online, which is an amateur offshoot to its Team PokerStars Pro.
The Isle Of Man-licensed site stated that it has spent two months searching for the online poker talent to form the basis of Team PokerStars Online and has sifted through over 2,000 applications.
PokerStars.com revealed that the 23 members hail from all over the world with 18 countries represented and have been drawn from the full range of its games and stakes. It stated that this diversity means that its clients are likely to find a Team PokerStars Pro presence whatever game they play and whenever they choose to login.
The players lucky enough to be included in Team PokerStars Online include Andres ‘lobojiji' Alisievicz, Jorge ‘JorgeArias' Arias, Boumaaza ‘Chiren80' Bachir, Anders ‘Donald' Berg, Alvaro ‘VARICO' Blanco, Thomas ‘Boku87' Boekhoff, Diego ‘vgreen22' Brunelli, Andre ‘acoimbra' Coimbra, Mathew ‘chipstar1' Didlick, Ta-Chih ‘socutiesf' Geeng, Andrew ‘Kid Nebraska' Goetsch, Martha ‘marene' Gonzalez, Keiran ‘K_Man2307' Harris, Steve ‘stevesbets' Jacobs, Randy ‘nanonoko' Lew, Karlo ‘elmagopr' Lopez, Alexey ‘LuckyGump' Makarov, Kristian ‘CharismA3' Martin, Grzegorz ‘DaWarsaw' Mikielewicz, Nichoel ‘NicP' Peppe, Grayson ‘spacegravy' Physioc, Sebastien ‘Seb86' Sabic and Amanda ‘ROXY24' Thomas.
The leading online poker site revealed that there are plans to add further players to Team PokerStars Online throughout 2010 along with improvements to its lobby to make it easier to find and follow all of the big names as they play.
