PointsBet is expanding its US footprint in a major way after signing a partnership with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment in Denver, Colorado. Under the terms of the deal, PointsBet will be promoting Kroenke’s major league teams and have naming rights to some portions of the Pepsi Center.
As the owner of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Denver Mammoth (pro lacrosse) teams, Kroenke Sports and Entertainment is a major player in the Denver sports scene. Kroenke also owns the Pepsi Center, where all three of those teams play, which makes the deal even sweeter for PointsBet.
As it stands today, PointsBet will be the official betting partner for all three teams. This deal includes all forms of wagering in the state including retail, online and daily fantasy sports. PointsBet will also have naming rights for certain parts of the Pepsi Center and has agreed to make certain unnamed improvements to the facility. Of particular importance is the fact that the PointsBet logo will be plastered on the incredibly valuable real estate between the baselines and the benches on the basketball court.
In a statement reported on by LegalSportsReport.com, Matt Hutchings, KSE EVP & Chief Operating Officer described the deal saying, “PointsBet is renowned within the gaming industry for product innovation and its unique PointsBetting products, as well as for having the fastest app in the marketplace. Sports fans are hungry for the added dimension that fantasy sports and gaming add to their experience. We know that Nuggets, Avs, and Mammoth fans will be excited to have the opportunity to engage more deeply with their favorite teams via PointsBet.”
PointsBet has also struck a similar deal with the Indiana Pacers.
