PointsBet Canada is taking a truly localized approach to marketing as it signs on as the official sports betting partner of Curling Canada. Regulated sports betting is newly legal in Canada and curling is a homegrown Canadian sport that’s unlikely to see wagers coming in from outside the country.
Under the terms of the deal, PointsBet will engage in the all the traditional marketing that comes with a sponsorship deal of this kind, such as logo placement, etc…PointsBet will also be streaming curling events on its online streaming platform. Curling fans will be able to enjoy 300 hours of broadcast events, as well as 350 hours of repeats as part of the deal.
Katherine Henderson, CEO of Curling Canada praised PointsBet, a company with its roots in Canada saying, “PointsBet’s track record speaks for itself, as the company has existing partnerships with a variety of highly regarded partners around the world, and we couldn’t be happier to enter into this new venture with an industry leader.”

PointsBet Canada CEO Scott Vanderwel was similarly enthused saying, “With the passing of legalized sports betting by the federal government this past summer, we knew that there would be many opportunities available for our sport to be part of a new, legal and regulated way for fans to enjoy our events.”
Single game wagering has been legal in Canada since August, 2021 after the passing of Canadian Senate bill C-218 in June.
