The Pechanga Resort and Casino is partnering with the Venetian Resort Las Vegas in a unique crossover deal that’s making history in the tribal gaming world. Based in Temecula, California, the Pechangas are one of the most powerful tribes in the gaming world and their deal with the Venetian marks the first time a tribal gaming operator has partnered with a major Las Vegas casino in any meaningful manner.
Under the terms of the deal, players at the Pechanga and players at the Venetian can take advantage of a shared rewards program. That deal includes access to special room rates, events, and other amenities for players coming from the Venetian to the Pechanga and vice versa.
From the outside, this current iteration of the deal sounds like something of a trial period and is only structured to last one year. Both sides have the option to renew or move on after that period expires.
While this is the Pechanga’s first partnership with a Las Vegas operator, it’s hardly the tribe’s first go-round with other corporate partners. As of this writing the tribe has locked in similar partnerships with Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers, SoFi Stadium, the Los Angeles Angels, the San Diego Wave and the Los Angeles Rams.
Ken Perez, President of the Pechanga Development Corporation spoke of the deal in a recent press release saying, “Our team at Pechanga is always looking for unique and truly special ways we can deliver incredible experiences and luxury to our guests,” said . “We’re looking forward to this partnership with such a respected and sought after brand as The Venetian Resort in the Las Vegas hospitality and casino landscape.”
The Pechangas’ casin and resort in Temecula is one of the largest retail casinos in the country and are extremely influential in shaping California’s gaming industry.
