Paddy Power will be beefing up its mobile portfolio over the next few months with a slew of new mobile and tablet gaming apps. It’s a big commitment to the rapidly growing mobile market space that builds on the company’s already successful mobile suite.
The new mobile apps were announced in Paddy Power’s H2 2013 Interim Management Statement earlier this week. Paddy Power will be developing all of its new mobile offerings using in-house development resources. All that’s known at this time about the apps launch is that the first product is a tablet-based games app.
Paddy Power has been committing more and more resources towards the mobile space in past years and that investment has paid off in a major way.
According to the Interim Management Report, a full 47% of the company’s online revenues are currently being generated by mobile users. In terms of actual mobile users, Paddy Power officials say that fully 63% of their active user base transacted via a mobile device during the month of October.
Paddy Power’s mobile suite is also a big hit within the mobile industry. In September, their Roller Casino app snagged the Best Tablet app award at the inaugural Mobile Gaming & Gambling Awards September.
