MVP Sportsbook
MVP was one of the original online sportsbooks to take up residence in Costa Rica back in 1997. Like a lot of sites we’ll be looking at, MVP has changed hands a number of times over the years. They were also notable as one of the first sites to use the ‘reduced juice’ model that’s the hallmark of sites like 5dimes.com.
The sportsbook took its lumps over the years from the US Department of Justice and was eventually sold to Sportsbook.com for around $20,000. (It’s not all palm trees and boat drinks in Costa Rica after all!)
