Online Poker Player Wins Almost $210,000

PokerStars.com has announced that a player from Switzerland won its Sunday Million tournament and took home nearly $210,000.

Online player ‘Sam66' walked away with $209,571 on Sunday after defeating ‘Shantaram' from France, who took home $141,718 for second place.

PokerStars.com doubled the guarantee for its weekly competition two weeks ago and, as a result, saw its largest-ever field and prize pool. Last week's tournament saw a higher than usual 8,589 entrants and a prize pool of $1,717,800 offering 1,233 players a spot of cash.

Online player ‘MrMuck1976' from Norway finished in third spot for $95,337 followed by Dutch player ‘Rubenrtv' for $77,301 and ‘Pepperdiablo' from the UK for $60,123. The highest placed American was ‘My_Emolument’ in sixth for $42,945 followed by Sweden's ‘Moorten' for $30,061 and Yanks ‘Axinar' and ‘Cjh1224' for $19,754 and $13,398 respectively.
