Bwin.party is definitely bring their party across the pond to compete on the shores and in the deserts of the United States.
As of this writing, they’re partnered up with the MGM Resorts and Boyd Gaming to provide software and support for their regulated gaming products, but the State of Nevada isn’t so sure that’s a good idea.
The company’s previous incarnation, Party Gaming, ran into some troubles with the DOJ back in 2008 and that’s caused some real problems. For months now, there’s been some question as to how far Bwin.party will be able to get into the market.
Given some of the rough financial waters they’ve been navigating of late, there’s no question that Nevada is a big deal to them.
