Barney Frank Leaves Congress
Representative Barney Frank from Massachusetts made a promise during his campaign, to push for online gambling legalization and regulation. Frank lived up to his voter’s expectations and he has been working tirelessly since 2009 in an effort to present the US House of Representatives with a successful bill that will serve his purposes.
Barney Frank is the man behind the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act of 2009 (HR 2267). He first introduced it in 2009, but the bill keeps progressing and it seems like it could be approved any day now.
The online gambling community owes a lot to Rep. Frank and it is a shame to see him leave Congress, however his legacy will remain as HR 2267 continues to be in the works. He will be forever appreciated for his efforts and missed as a political representative of the online gambling community.
