Online casino software provider Playtech released full 2008 earnings this week, reporting a massive increase in profits driven by a surge in revenues. Prior to tax, the company claimed €40.69m, well up from the €26.9m earned in 2007.
Playtech remarked that its agreement with William Hill Online is on course to offer significant benefits to its earnings in 2009 and further strengthens its position. The income from the joint venture with William Hill generates approximately 40% more income than the daily average income the company generated from its former customer during the previous quarter.
The group also announced a major, exclusive multi-year licensing agreement with MGM interactive, Inc. to use all of its Rocky and Pink Panther images and logos, paving the way for exciting new Hollywood slot games.
