June 21, 2010 (CAP News Wire) – The World Poker Tour, owned by PartyGaming, has announced the appointment of a new executive tour director for its ninth season.
Matt Savage, a veteran poker player who played in the 2009 WSOP, is the World Poker Tour’s new leader, the company recently announced. Savage will be tasked with “improving player communication, tournament offerings, tour cohesiveness and event growth at the WPT,” according to the Gaming Intelligence Group.
“Matt is one of the world’s foremost experts on poker tournaments,” Steve Heller, the CEO of the World Poker Tour, states in the article. “Matt’s expertise and relationships in the poker community will greatly enhance our upcoming ninth season.”
