The very busy members of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) have their work cut out for them now that Golden Gaming has joined the parade of casinos rushing to apply for a Nevada online poker operators license. Company officials filed their application early this week.
As of this writing, details about how Golden Gaming plans to develop their online operation were unknown. If they plan on developing their own gaming software they’ll be able to speed up the process since third party manufacturers and suppliers would need to be individually licensed.

Caesars Gets a Hearing Date
Gaming industry news sources are also reporting that Caesars Interactive Entertainment has been given a September 6 hearing date with the NGCB. Caesars is pairing up with 888/Dragonfish to develop their Nevada intrastate online poker offering.
As a general rule, most applicants who are approved by the NGCB go on to get final approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission for their licenses, though it’s not a guarantee.
