More Sports over the Internet

January 16, 2009 (InfoPowa News) — Matchroom Sport's live sports events offering is to be made more widely available following a deal with digital sports television and Internet specialist Perform. The sports promoter’s live sports events will be available over the Internet via Perform's various distribution platforms.
 
Matchroom Sport's chairman and founder, Barry Hearn, said: "Perform's continued expansion internationally and general progress as a company made it the right time for the parties to commit on a longer term and broader basis. The successful collaboration between Perform and Matchroom around the Championship League Snooker and Championship of Darts in its first year showed Perform's commitment to two sports at the heart of our agenda."
 
Matchroom Sport, which includes the PDC darts events and Premier League Snooker among its portfolio, will see its content distributed across platforms such as Perform's e-Player and live betting service Watchandbet.tv.
 
Perform, which has worked with Matchroom in the past, has also been appointed to bring in new companies to sub-license content worldwide.
