Microgaming's Thunderstruck 2 Set to Make a Powerful Entrance

February 8, 2010 (CAP PR Wire) — Microgaming (www.microgaming.com) has announced that it will be launching the highly anticipated sequel to the hugely successful Thunderstruck Video Slot later this year, which since its release in 2003 has become a heroic icon within the Microgaming game portfolio.

Microgaming’s development team has worked tirelessly designing an appropriate sequel to Thunderstruck, which is a firm favourite with so many Microgaming casino players. Careful decisions were made to remain true to the essence of the game’s brand and personality. The player experience is taken to an entirely new level through the introduction of beautiful hand painted graphics, an epic musical score and a gallery of special features that will appeal to a wide demographic of players.  Furthermore, it will be available with an increased screen resolution of up to 1024 x 768, which will optimise the user experience.  The latest upgrade will also allow players to enjoy the thrills of the new Video Slot as well as running four other casino games concurrently through multiple, tabulated in-client functions. This personalises player experience by giving the player the ability to prioritise and keep pages open within the Casino, whilst simultaneously playing their favourite games.

Roger Raatgever, CEO Microgaming comments: “We are truly excited about the release of the sequel to the hugely popular Thunderstruck Video Slot. The quality of graphics and special features are already looking out of this world! We are extremely proud of the brands that we have developed ourselves; Thunderstruck is a prime example of this.  The game will contain unrivalled graphics, innovative game play and the best possible user experience, with an optimal screen resolution of 1024 x 768.  We expect to see the same level of success from the sequel as we did from the original.”

Microgaming looks forward to releasing Thunderstruck 2 to the industry later this year.  It was received with great excitement and enthusiasm, following a successful preview at the International Gaming Expo in London.
