January 20, 2010 (CAP PR Wire) — Microgaming (www.microgaming.com), the world’s largest provider of online gaming software, today announces the launch of a new Live Dealer Blackjack offering.
Players are able to experience all the thrills, atmosphere and realism of land-based casino play as they navigate the crisp, clear interface, interact with casino personnel dealing cards in real-time, streamed via live video. Microgaming has also introduced two innovative features, Bet Behind and Waiting List, to further enhance the player experience of this traditional casino favourite.
Bet Behind allows other players to follow games as they happen and place bets on the seated players, just like in a land-based casino. There is no limit to the amount of players that can bet on a single game, and bets can be made on multiple games at once. Bet Behind provides players with an alternative way to enjoy the action, helping to translate realistically the traditional casino experience to an online platform.
Waiting List acts as an alert function for players, enabling them to keep an eye on their favourite dealers and informing them when a space appears on their table. This not only guarantees that users can play with dealers that they know and appreciate, but also allows them the opportunity to enjoy side games, safe in the knowledge they will not miss their chance to join the game of their choice.
Having the opportunity to see the actual cards being dealt not only provides players with a sense of realism, but also allows them a better sense of fairness and transparency. Microgaming’s Live studio’s are the first to be formally approved by eCOGRA’s Seals Compliance Committee and are regularly audited by an external third party to make sure that strict gaming guidelines are adhered to.
Tobias Adamson, Head of Live Gaming Software at Microgaming comments: “Microgaming has always been at the forefront of gaming innovation. We are committed to providing players with an enhanced gaming experience and are constantly working with our operators to ensure that our games are inventive and entertaining. Microgaming Live Blackjack offers a real casino experience to online players in a safe, secure and fair environment.”
Microgaming’s Blackjack offering represents the latest addition to their current suite of Live streaming games, which includes Baccarat and Roulette. Baccarat offers multi-player and multi-table game play. Roulette utilises casino grade technology for precision readings, eliminating human error and providing the most accurate and enjoyable real-time gaming experience.
