Mircogaming and Ladbrokes have reached an agreement to begin an online casino partnership with a focus on the Spanish and Danish poker markets.
Ladbrokes’ Spanish site, LBApuestas, as well as its Danish operations, will be using Microgaming software beginning in January 2012. The sites involved in the new agreement gain access to a variety of premium flash and downloadable casino games from Microgaming.
Ladbrokes will also be using Microgaming’s well known online poker software. This will give Danish and Spanish players access to the most technologically advanced software on the market, including the best games and access to tournament schedules.
Although Ladbrokes will not gain its license in these markets until January 2012, affiliates are already licking their chops.
A partnership between Mircogaming and Ladbrokes is the best of both worlds. Microgaming is one of the most trusted names in the online gambling industry. Their software is well known, highly advanced, and full of all the best features. In other words, players love any casino that is powered by this software.
On the other side of the partnership, Ladbrokes also ranks high in terms of trust. The company was founded in 1886 and employs more than 15,000 people. By moving into the Spanish and Danish markets, the company is taking another step in the right direction.
For gaming affiliates, name recognition is very important. Affiliates want to promote services that are well known and trusted, while also offering games and services that players are interested in. There is no denying that a partnership between Microgaming and Ladbrokes will be an “easier sell.”
Microgaming has formed a network management board to help ensure a smooth start to this industry-changing merger.
