A player at Unibet.com has walked away with a windfall of €1.17 million after striking it rich on the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot powered by online gaming software provider Microgaming.
The 48-year-old winner from northern Sweden won the game only a few weeks after a Greek player, ‘Georgios M', picked up €6.37 million playing the same jackpot, the largest online slots prize ever recorded.
"Our expression of ‘moneytainment' for everyone, anytime, everywhere is what Unibet.com really stands for," said Petter Nylander, Chief Executive Officer for Unibet.com.
"We are pleased to make another Unibet.com player into a millionaire and this is by no means the end. There's a lot more to be won on Unibet.com."
The Mega Moolah video slot was released in November of 2006 and, unlike other online casino jackpots, guarantees a single cash payout in full meaning that the lucky Swede now has €1.17 million to play with.
"It is absolutely incredible that just two months ago we announced the biggest ever online casino win through the progressive slot Mega Moolah and yet again, so soon afterwards, it has created another millionaire," said Roger Raatgever, Chief Executive Officer for Microgaming.
"Players love the high levels of entertainment the game provides and the jackpots are truly ground-breaking. The future continues to be exciting with Mega Moolah as the jackpot is already over one million Euro again and rising. In the meantime though, I would like to congratulate the winner on becoming the latest Mega Moolah millionaire."
