Social Media Will Matter Even More
Social media’s unique ability to drive organic traffic makes it the gold standard of referral metrics for search engines like that one that rhymes with bugle. For that reason, we fully expect social signals to matter a lot more in the marketing picture next year than they did this year.
While we’re not 100% certain that social media is the new SEO, as plenty of web writers have suggested, we do think that establishing a significant social presence is a goal that’s well-worth pursuing.
There’s no question that social media marketing is a real time suck, but if you’re looking to keep that traffic flowing and boost your SEO campaigns, you’ll be spending a lot of time on Twitter over the next 12 months.
