Legendz is launching a slots-heavy social casino across a broad swath of the US market this week. The new social gaming site offers a huge array of online slot machines, table games, and sports betting options for players over the age of 18.
Because Legendz is a social gaming site, and not a regulated operator, the site’s ecosystem revolves around in-game currencies called gold coins and sweeps coins. Players purchase gold coins, which then earn sweeps coins, which are then redeemed for prizes. Gold coins can be purchased, but also earned as bonuses such as a daily visitor bonus.
Co-Founder Henrik Persson Ekdahl touted Legendz’ appeal to players in comments reported on by SBC Americas saying, “With a full suite of slots, live casino and sportsbook as well as some unique features that we’ll be rolling out over the next few months, we think our guests will find a social gaming experience they can’t get anywhere else.”
If you’re thinking that the Legendz brand seems familiar, that’s because there was another site called Legendz Sports that was involved in an offshore gambling case brought on by the US Department of Justice in 2013. Though the current Legendz site uses similar branding as the old site, it is not affiliated with the old Legendz site.
