Jets fly into to Indianapolis on Sunday

The Indianapolis Colts are the only NFL team to have avoided defeat so far this season and could rack up its 15th consecutive win on Sunday afternoon by beating the New York Jets.

Despite having a record so far of seven wins for the same number of defeats, the Jets are still in with a faint hope of making the post-season. However, one more defeat would definitely put New York out of the running and consign the franchise to its third season without playoff football.

The home team are heavily favoured with Betfair.com and BetDaq.com offering Indianapolis at odds of 39/100 to triumph inside the Lucas Oil Stadium. This is followed by 888Sport.com, SkyBet.com, BetFred.com, BoyleSports.com, BlueSq.com and StanJames.com showing 2/5 while Coral.co.uk and Bet365.com are offering 7/17.

Slightly longer, bettors can get odds of 5/12 from WilliamHill.com and Ladbrokes.com on a Colts win while PaddyPower.com is showing 10/23 and

WBX.com lists 9/20.

These two last met during the fourth week of the 2006 season with Indianapolis winning by 31 points to 28 after three different Colts rushed for touchdowns. This could very well happen again although BlueSq.com is offering odds of 7/4 on a Jets win.

With the Colts already guaranteed home field advantage throughout the post-season, much debate has surrounded how long, if at all, its key players will remain on the field. The Jets could be given an unexpected advantage if rookie coach Jim Caldwell decides to rest past starters in favour of unproven backups. Such a scenario has BetDaq.com offering New York at odds of 181/100 to win while StanJames.com shows 15/8 followed by PaddyPower.com with 19/10.

The odds on a Jets win away from home just keep getting longer from here with Coral.co.uk offering 45/23 while punters can get 199/100 from WBX.com. Similarly, WilliamHill.com, Ladbrokes.com, Bet365.com, BoyleSports.com, SkyBet.com and BetFred.com show 2/1 followed by Betfair.com with 51/25.
