Sports betting is always a lot more fun when you’re wagering against another person, and not just a faceless website. That’s the premise that BuddyBet, a Prague-based social gaming start up, is betting will be a big success with social gamers.
Buddy Bet players can place sports bets against other BuddyBet players for real money (where permitted) or for social gaming points called, BuddyBucks, which can be redeemed for prizes. Along the way, players are free to brag and boast about their wins on their social media channels and directly to the guys whose money they just took.
Though Buddy Bet doesn’t have a huge footprint, yet, it’s been a big hit with venture capitalists who recently sunk $3 million into the venture.
