An online gaming conference focused on the Scandinavian online gambling market — a market that’s seen a lot of business activity in recent months — has announced that it’ll be focusing more on regulations and taxes than previously anticipated.
“The Swedish tax authorities are scrutinizing poker sites registered out of Sweden, but which are still considered by the authorities as tax liable in Sweden,” organizers of the i-Gaming Forum stated. “Svenska Dagbladet estimates SEK 100 billions of tax revenue from i-gaming businesses can be on stake.”
Organizers encourage those involved in European online gambling to check out the i-Gaming Forum in Stockholm in April to further explore these regulatory developments, as well as new business opportunities in Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia.
“Book now to the 3rd Annual I-gaming Forum 2011, where the Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finish Gaming Authorities, legal experts and CEOs from Bonnier Lottery, Betsson, Nordic Gaming Group, PAF, BET24, Betsafe will join us, amongst others,” organizers continue.
The i-Gaming Forum also promises:
- “analysis on the i-gaming market from a CEO perspective;”
- “specific updates including on Spain, Denmark, The Netherlands & Sweden;”
- “broad-spectrum discussions” on European i-gaming regulatory developments;
