Whether you called it the Farmer Update or the Panda Update, this one had some serious impact on SEOs and affiliate partners. The sheriff over at Google finally got sick of the mass produced, low quality content being churned out by content farms and lashed out.
That initial Panda update impacted as much as 12 percent of all Google queries, which is a mind boggling number. Though plenty of affiliate partners were not too happy with Google, the net result was a gradual increase in the overall quality of web content and a better user experience.
