Google– the behemoth of all search engines– released its Zeitgeist 2011 list a few days ago, which names the ten most searched queries of the year.
You might be surprised to find that YouTube sensation Rebecca Black topped the list. Really? Really?! This musically-challenged teen had more searches than Steve Jobs, the death of Osama Bin Laden, the Arab Spring, Occupy Wall Street… I digress.
Anyway, the ten terms with the highest growth rate during the year are as follows:
- Rebecca Black
- Google+ (In case you missed how gaming affiliates are using Google+, check out what you need to know in this Google+ checklist.)
- Ryan Dunn
- Casey Anthony
- Battlefield 3
- iPhone 5
- Adele
- 東京 電力 (Fukushima)
- Steve Jobs
- iPad 2
