Google for Entrepreneurs is a new service from the search giant designed to empower small businesses by giving them the tools they need to succeed. If Google just happens to find the next big thing or killer app in the process, well that’s just icing on the cake for the search giant.
The new suite of tools is designed to partner entrepreneurs with local business resources; encourage the use of Google products; and put promising new businesses on the company’s radar.
As part of the Google for Entrepreneurs promotions, the company is hosting a number of events everywhere from Council Bluffs, Iowa to Johannesburg, South Africa. These events are aimed at connecting entrepreneurs with Google employees, as well as programs aimed at getting their businesses off the ground.
According to Google’s promotional announcements there are currently 400 million entrepreneurs operating in 54 countries. (How they define an “entrepreneur” is not entirely clear.)
Are Gambling Affiliates Entrepreneurs, Too?
So far Google hasn’t talked about where casino affiliates and other iGaming ventures fit into their new program. Given that the bottom line is attracting new customers and scouting out potential investments, they’ll probably be all right with it.
