Despite a sputtering economy and nine percent unemployment, last year the DOJ flexed its muscles by shutting down the multi-billion dollar online poker industry in the United States. The events of April 15, 2010 have become known as Black Friday and are well documented on CAP and other gaming sites.
What’s less documented is the long-term impact this action had on a host of small businesses including poker players and affiliates who woke up that morning to find that they were out of business.
Black Friday was a big, fat reminder that online gaming is still an outlaw industry in the United States.
