FTOPS XI Millionaire Events Continue to Provide Big Money

February 13, 2009 (InfoPowa News) — The latest of several million dollar prize pool events in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XI has been concluded, earning the winner $245,696 and change. Event 17 was a $322 buy-in NLHE 6-max with rebuys that attracted 1,091 entrants. With a large number of rebuys and add ons, the final prize pool soared to 1,178,000 — well over the one million dollars guaranteed by Full Tilt Poker.

Steven 'UFman2' Burkholder emerged the winner after starting the heads up with Shawn "jordankickz" Busse trailing in chip count. Busse had a more than 4-to-1 advantage at 4,589,269 to Burkholder's 1,671,231, setting the scene for a tough, aggressive match in which the gap between the two talented players closed and re-opened several times before Burkholder was able to bring the match to a successful conclusion.

Busse's second place finish was worth $163,797.60, and third finisher Daniel "imabigkidnow" Kelly was still in six-figure territory with his win of $116,661.60.

Burkholder's $245,696.40 payday is the fourth big-money tournament win for the player in recent times — all at Full Tilt.
