With talks that an internet poker bill is being seriously considered in the state of Massachusetts, Everest Poker is getting more and more excited by the day.
The reason for this? The company is the only European operator with a subsidiary in Massachusetts.
Additionally, the company is in good standing in the US thanks to its refusal to accept US based players after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) passed in 2006.
At this time, Massachusetts representative Daniel Winslow is leading the charge for the legalization of online poker in the state.
The proposed bill would reward companies, such as Everest Poker, that respected US laws after the passing of the UIGEA.

According to Tim Dent, CEO of Everest Gaming, his company is in the best position to cash in should online poker be legalized in Massachusetts.
“The bill presents Massachusetts with a great opportunity to be a pioneer in legalizing internet poker in the U.S., and there’s no question that Everest Poker is better positioned than any other operator to take advantage of that opportunity.”
Even better for Everest Poker is the fact that the company was in contact with Winslow while the bill was being written, providing expert insight on how to create a safe and stable online gaming environment.
