Everest Poker is joining the iPoker Network in a move that should help shore up both companies. The move comes amidst a major reshuffling effort on the network as prepares to split into two, distinct spaces.
For Everest, the move brings access to a larger player base thanks to iPoker’s massive scale. For iPoker, Everest brings a fair amount of French players to help shore up the struggling iPoker.fr.
iPoker Split
Last week we reported that CelebPoker and Titan Poker were merging ahead of the big moves on the iPoker Network. Combining forces allows the two companies to be part of the higher end tier. To be part of that end of the business, poker sites must have a player base of at least 6,000 players and promise to bring in another 850 a month.
iPoker is creating the new tiers to help separate casual players from the professionals who regularly clean them out on regular sites. Changes on the iPoker network are expected to be completed by September 1.
Not everyone is so excited about the changes on iPoker. Both Pokerhuis and Gutshot Poker are leaving the network before the changes are implemented.
