eGaming Review (EGR), one of the online gaming world’s leading news and info sites, has announced the winners of its EGR Awards.
The ceremony was held a few days ago — Wednesday, November 25, 2010, to be exact — in London. 800 delegates attended, and the host was British TV comedian Jack Whitehall — a pretty big star in the UK. “The EGR Awards was also an occasion for charity and funds were raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital, with PartyGaming donating £20,000,” reports Casino Advisor.
Those affiliates currently ticked off at bwin might not be too thrilled to see that the Austrian-based online betting juggernaut nabbed two of the best awards for “European Sports Betting Operator” and “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry”.
Bet365 and Betfair won the most awards; some of the other top winners included PartyGaming (“Slots Operator”), Virgin Games (“Affiliate Program”), Betfair (“Mobile Operator”), Paddy Power (“Customer Relations”), and 888 (“Socially Responsible Operator”).
