September 2, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — In yet another depressing reminder of the United States' strict anti-Internet gambling laws, and the increasing frequency with which various regional governments are choosing to enforce them, some three dozen people have been arrested in Utah for online gaming.
The arrests were the result of a raid conducted at an “internet gambling parlor” in Murray, a suburb of Salt Lake City. This “parlor” was described as a cyber café that “had been operating an illegal gambling operation since its inception a few months ago.”
