Doyle’s Room – May 2012
Doyle’s Room proved to be every bit as cagey as its namesake, poker legend Doyle Brunson. At the end of the day though, the DOJ had the last laugh. The site survived Black Friday, only to meet its end in the same Maryland indictment that netted Calvin Ayre earlier this year.
In May, the DOJ sold off the domain and remaining assets to the highest bidder at auction. Doyles was a player favorite and will probably re-emerge in another form sometime soon.
