Entraction Holding AB has revealed that it will be closing its Cardroom2 online poker room by the end of this year due to disappointing traffic.
The Swedish online gaming software developer stated that Cardroom2 allows players to participate in games of poker over the International Poker Network (IPN) from Boss Media. However, the Solna-based firm announced that traffic between the networks is ‘not extensive' and only represented approximately five percent of Entraction's revenues from poker.
Entraction stated that it had therefore terminated its contract with Boss Media and will soon only offer games of poker through its own network.
"Cardroom2 has been a good possibility for players to play in two different networks using one account," said Peter Astrom, Chief Executive Officer for Entraction.
"Because of the strong growth in the Entraction poker network, there is no longer a need for Cardroom2."
