Maryann Morrison has held a number of positions in the gaming industry but she’s best known as the publisher of Woman Poker Player magazine.
This popular publication not only proved that niche markets can be popular, it helped break down popular misconceptions about female players. (Morrison even beefed up her poker credentials with a 2007 book titled, Women’s Poker Night.)
Long before her incarnation as a publisher Morrison was already well established in Canadian affiliate circles. In 2002, she organized and launched the first-ever affiliate conference held in Vancouver.
These days, Morrison is based out of Saskatchewan and is a much sought-out editorial and advertising consultant who who helps igaming operators and affiliates better serve niche markets.
