September 30, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — If the recent, much-reported-upon ruling from a EU Court of Justice that limited the extent to which Bwin could promote its brand within the Portuguese borders had any effect on the company, it seems to have already faded as the Austrian-based online betting powerhouse continues to make strides within the European market.
Earlier this week, Bwin announced that it had extended its sponsorship deal with Real Madrid. The deal, a shirt sponsorship said to be worth 15 to 20 million euros per year, has existed since 2007.
President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, said that Bwin was "a loyal partner which understands sport", according to the BBC.
