Legislators from Bulgaria's three-way governing coalition have agreed to regulatory amendments paving the way for licensed and regulated online gambling.
According to the Sofia News Agency, the amendments were agreed during the two-day closed debate held in the resort town of Hisarya and also include a change in the structural plan of the country’s state lottery to expand the distribution network allowing more companies to sell tickets.
Officials stated that the amendments aim to increase the income of the state lottery with any extra money being allocated to social campaigns.
