Missing Metadata
The definition of metadata is, “data about data,” and since data fuels SEO it’s a pretty big deal. So it’s kind of surprising to find out that many SEOs don’t even bother to fill in as much metadata as they possibly can. After all, with SEO plug-ins like SEO by Yoast that make filling in this data as simple as possible, there’s no excuse for not using it whenever, and wherever, possible.
The more information you can feed those byte-hungry Google bots, the more information they’ll be passing along to the actual search engine algorithm.
